SMARTT Mobil Classroom Visit with Ligon Middle School

Team members went to Ligon Middle School, which is close to Downtown Raleigh, for a few hours to discuss the importance of alternative transportation and renewable energies. The SMARTT Mobil Classroom is a Natural Gas powered truck with a solar powered trailer. Inside the trailer are displays, a high definition television with surround sound, examples of student work with sustainable technologies, and other interactive information displays. In addition to the trailer, a student-built and fully electric Tesla Roadster was on display for students to see what they can accomplish just a few years in the future.
