NC State University Earth Day Celebration

Held in the Brickyard of NC State University on April 22, the NC State EcoCar team participated in the NC State Earth Day Celebration. Using a Saturn VUE vehicle provided by Saturn of Raleigh dealership and the SMARTT mobile classroom, team members were able to discuss the principles and benefits of sustainable technology including alternative transportation. Students as well as those visiting campus for the celebration were able to see first-hand the type of vehicle the NC State EcoCar team will be working with. In addition to the vehicle , the designs were also shown to individuals with an interest in alternative transportation technologies. Team members were with the display on the Brickyard, fellow students were able to see what their peers are currently working on in the field of sustainable technologies.
